Last Day of School and Dance Festival

Today was the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL for these kids. I can't believe it's over. We have done so much and it has been a great year for all of us. The kids headed out the door and caught the bus for the last time this year. And this was the last day of elementary school for Owen. He moves on up to middle school next year and I can't believe it.

Charlotte and I headed up to the school to set up for the Dance Festival. This is such a fun last day of school tradition. They kids practice dances the last few months of school and then perform them on the last day of school for all the parents.

This year Owen did the???, Olivia disco danced to "September" and Jonah did hula dancing to the Hoki Lau. It is so adorable to see those kids perform.

My cute PTA board thanked me with flowers and a gift certificate for a Mani-Pedi. So sweet.

Then the festival began. I tried to snap pics of all the kids. Here's Owen:

After the dances finish there is a 5th Grade Clap Out, where the parents and all the K-4 students line up and make a giant tunnel for the 5th Graders to run through, and we cheer and make noise and spray them all with silly string.

It's so fun. Then the Sandy Fire Department comes and sprays all the kids with water. It is just a fun way to end the year.

We took photos with teachers.

Good-bye 5th, 3rd and 1st Grade. Thanks for everything!
