October Little Things

Morgan and Carter stopped by one Sunday night for a visit. We love those 2 so much!

Charlotte and I on our many errands. She is such a good sport!
We are starting to see fall leaves and it is just beautiful!
One night I let everyone make their own pretzel for dinner. They were pretty creative with their dough.
Daddy reading to Charlotte and Jonah one Sunday afternoon. I love moments like this.
Grandma Johannesen came to visit and we gathered the family to visit with her.
Charlotte being adorable at Costco.
We had Red Ribbon Week (Say no to Drugs) and the kids dressed up each day that week to show support. Here's Owen's class on Wear Red to say no to Drugs day.
And they wore PJs to school for Don't let Drugs ruin your Dreams Day.

Charlotte and I headed to yet another PTA meeting. Here is how she stays entertained.
I took Charlotte to her 3 year old doctor's visit. She is getting so big. She is healthy and doing great. She didn't pass her eye exam, so we will have to visit the eye doctor.

So we went to see Dr. Brown and I just giggle as I watch these tiny guys get their eye exams. It is just so darn cute!

Olivia's soccer team wrapped up their season. These girls played hard and did a great job!

I painted the girl's dresser and put new contact paper inside. A fun little home project.

Here's our adorable little vampire with her glowing teeth.
One Sunday we went to Nana & Papa's house and Jonah brought superhero costumes for he and Josiah. They played and had so much fun. These 2 are becoming little buddies and love their time together. They call themselves "Joah" because both of their names begin with "Jo" and end with "ah". Too funny!

More evidence of fall around us. We love our mountains.
And I love to capture moments like this when they are all playing and content. It does my mother heart good.

Halloween 2016

Our Halloween festivities started out this year with our ward Fall Festival. We got all dressed up and had a fun meal and went trunk-or-treating around the parking lot. We had a great time.

There was face painting and train rides for the little guys.

And the ever important candy sorting and counting afterwards. Hip Hip Hooray!

A few days later we carved pumpkins. We chose 2 pumpkins and let the kids choose the designs. Here are the kids cleaning out all the gooey pumpkin guts and seeds.

And the finished product! Pretty fun!

We also made our favorite Halloween sugar cookies to take to a friend's house.

On Halloween the kids dressed up in costumes before school. Here's venom getting his reading minutes in before school.
There is a Halloween Parade at the school. I managed to snap a quick photo of Olivia.

And Owen's teacher posted these on Instagram.

Charlotte and I ran to Costco and by that time she was wiped out! So I shopped with my little sleeping beauty.

That night we set off in our neighborhood. Here is everyone dressed up and ready to go.

And out Trick-or-Treating.

Charlotte's 3rd Birthday

Our baby girl turned 3 this year! She is just such a delight and it was fun celebrating her big day!

We celebrate first thing in the morning on birthdays. The kids get to choose their breakfast. Charlotte chose Norwegian (or "roll up") Pancakes. A crowd favorite. Grandma Johannesen was in town visiting and helped us make the pancakes. She is so good at it.

Then she opened her presents. The kids were happy to help her play with her new toys.

Grandma needed to get back home so we took her to the airport and said goodbye.

Then headed to the park to play.

That night we had a family dinner and decorated with these cute balloons that Nate and the boys picked up for her.

I mean, isn't she just the cutest?!?!

Happy Birthday Charlotte! We love you!
