Rise and Shout

Today we went to the BYU v GA Tech game here in Atlanta. It was a beautiful day and the GA Tech stadium is in such a pretty part of downtown.
We had a great time, and Jonah was by far the most enthusiastic when it came time to cheer.
Owen loved watching with his dad and having all the rules explained to him.
And Olivia was our cheerleader. :)
It was a lot of fun and BYU won! What more can you ask for?

Carving Pumpkins

Here are our cute little pumpkins from this year! Today right before dinner we piled into the car and drove to a little produce stand not far from our house. My kids asked to buy them there again this year. Hooray!
We carved them after dinner. Olivia and Owen picked out their faces. Owen's is on the left...with a mustache. Olivia's is on the far right. Her description was a scary, but happy face. Jonah's is in the middle and I just made him a funny face. The kids were super excited and promptly began marching around in the dark singing Halloween songs they made up out of thin air. Kid's are hilarious and creative and I love them.

Preschool

Olivia is in a little preschool co-op this year and she is loving it so far! When it was our turn to host we talked about the moon and stars and we made rockets ships spelling our names.
The kids had a lot of fun. I'm so glad Olivia has her little pals to learn and play with! Jonah is, of course, thrilled when he gets to participate!

Happy Birthday Nate!

It happened. Nate turned thirty.five. It was an exciting day for all of us. Nate is fun to party with and fun to surprise. His birthday (as it often does) fell on the Saturday of General Conference. Now, Nate is a fan of General Conference, but 6 hours of church on your birthday can be a bit...how do I say it...less than a party? He managed to squeeze in some fun between sessions though. The kids and I made a special breakfast for him and wrapped up his presents while he was out for a run that morning. Breakfast Cake and eggs. Owen put the candles on the cake. The number 3 and then 5 candles. Clever little guy.

We watched a lot of conference. It was great...but that is another post. We took him out to dinner and we made him a PB cup cheesecake for dessert. :)

On Sunday we partied with the Puzeys and my parents (after watching more conference...which again...was fantastic!). They showered him with gift cards and Handerpants. That's right. I said Handerpants. And if you don't have a pair you really, really must get some because they are the funniest things ever!

Rockin' the Handerpants...

Last Day at the Pool

20120919-205639.jpg
This past Saturday was our last day at the pool. It's finally cooling off a bit here in Georgia. I hadn't taken any pictures all summer so I grabbed the camera on the way out the door this time. Our sweet life guard even let the kids climb up on the chair. Thank you pool for helping us survive the summer!

Car Wash

As I left for work the other day the kids had hatched a great plan to wash all their toy cars. They were filling up the bathroom sink with soap and bubbles as I left. I knew it would be a mess, a clean, soggy mess, and it was.But when I got home late that night this is what I saw all lined up in the bathroom. It made me smile. I love it when they play together!ImageImage
