January Little Things

This month was fun of lots of fun.
First, we have a new SUNBEAM in our house!! Charlotte is now in Primary and loving it so much. She was sad to leave nursery because she had just the best teachers and music leaders. But she is rocking it in Primary. Just look at that cute girl!

Jonah lost his first tooth, quickly followed by his second (not pictured). His second tooth fell out while eating a donut and it scared him for a bit until he was reassured that it wouldn't hurt him and that the tooth fairy would still come. Phew!

I threw a baby shower for Morgan. She is due February 4th with her first, a little boy. Missy Walker and I hosted and it was so fun to see so many nieces and cousins and Puseys and friends.

Charlotte got glasses. She had failed her 3 year old vision test at the pediatrician (just like Jonah had) and so we took her in to get her eyes checked. So now I have 3 kids in glasses and Nate and I have perfect vision. It's nuts. She was so excited to get them, but when they finally came in she HATED them at first, but has become more comfortable wearing them now.

Owen participated in the 5th Grade Science Fair. He and his friend, Calin, did a project on Oxidation and learned a lot. Charlotte is always happy to be in the middle of everyone's fun.

Thanks for the fun January!

January Art

Here is Owen's drawing from Higher Education Week. He wants to be an Architect. And here is his "Kooky Comic" rendering of himself as a very hip architect.

And here is Olivia's. He chose to be a teacher.
Olivia brought home this adorable snowman:

And this dream catcher which was immediately hung above her bed. Sweet thing.

Jonah has some great stuff this month! Check these out:

Olivia Turns 9 years old!!

We had a great time celebrating our sweet Olivia this year. She is sweetness itself. We do our family birthdays in the mornings. A tradition we stole from Nate's family. The kids wake up and the house is all decorated for their birthday, their presents are wrapped and their favorite breakfast is being cooked up. Olivia's favorite breakfast is always Norwegian Pancakes. It has been her favorite since she was 2 years old. We gathered as a family that morning to eat breakfast, sing Happy Birthday to Olivia and watch her open her presents from us.

She opted to take donuts in for her class treat that day. I didn't get a photo of the donuts but here is our Birthday Girl.

That night for dinner we had pizza, her other favorite and then went out for dessert at Create.

That weekend we had a friend birthday party for her. She wanted to do a Crepe Bar and watch the BFG. So we invited her cute girl friends over and had crepes and all the toppings. The girls loved it! Then we watched part of the movie, until they were ready for cake and ice cream. Olivia picked out red cupcakes with little penguin rings on them. The girls all sang Happy Birthday and Olivia blew out her candles to make a wish. We did gift next. We had them do musical chairs to see which present Olivia would open. It was so funny to see them scramble for a spot as the music ended. Such great girls. Olivia had a lot of fun and it was a sweet way to celebrate our girl who is all heart!

Granite Elementary Career Day

Career Day at school! Owen went as an Architect, Olivia as a Veterinarian, and Jonah as a Dad. I could just melt they are all so wonderful! It was fun to get them dressed for the day.

Nate went and presented in each of their classes on working in Advertising. He, of course, wore the same Granite sweatshirt as Jonah, since they were both dressing like dads. Nate is Super Dad. He managed to get a pics with Olivia and Jonah after presenting to their classes that morning.
