Berry Picking

I love to go pick berries with my kids. It is definitely a messy process, but it is hilarious to watch them plant their little rear ends down and munch on berries while I do all the work. Just like last year. It’s the way it’s supposed to be, if you’ve ever read Blueberries for Sal (one of our favorite books). We went a few times this year, once for strawberries (to make freezer jam), and then once for blueberries (for muffins) and raspberries (for freezer jam). All of those things make me really happy. In fact, I found the BEST blueberry muffin recipe. I posted it here. Unfortunately, I didn’t take many pictures this year, but my berry picking friend,  Kris sent me this one (above). Thanks Kris!
