Happy Thanksgiving

...so many things. This year a few weeks before Thanksgiving we had a FHE on gratitude and we made this list. Every night before bed we asked him to name a few things he was grateful for. We had to prompt him a bit, because sometimes he would just look around and say...”this pencil?” We are grateful for pencils, but we also wanted to try to bring out a few more things too. Far from comprehensive, here is the list (still on my fridge).

While the Hiltons were here in town visiting for Thanksgiving, we were able to celebrate Mark’s birthday. We went out for some mexican food, and the very best thing about celebrating your birthday at a mexican restaurant is:

10 Months

Olivia is 10 months old now and I just had to take another standing up picture. I never stop giggling at these...she is saying “mamamamamamam” which I interpret as “mom” as any mother would. She is scooting, but not yet crawling. She still hates baby food, but is branching out a bit with her tastes. Ice cream seems to be a hit, as well as cheerios...She is still very much a mama’s girl, but is branching out to include a few others...namely dad. We just love her to pieces!

10 months

...this girl is my favorite girl on the planet. She is so sweet and pleasant and I can’t believe she is 10 months old! That’s NUTS! I am still munching on those awesome cheeks everyday and loving it. She is still not officially crawling, but wiggles all around. She is so fun and I just love having a little girl.

Boundaries

I remember while in Oslo, at a viking museum (of course I threw that in to be obnoxious...)I saw a quote on the wall. I can’t remember who the author is now, nor can I quote in verbatim, but the sentiment is this:
Boundaries: I have heard they exist in the minds of some people,
but I have never seen one.

I thought of that quote the other day when I saw Owen’s creation with his train stickers (Thank you Simon!). I just loved that the train, that started on the page, took it’s own route onto the table! I love to see what comes out of his creative little mind! After all, it is more about the train than the piece of paper anyhow, right?
