Olivia's Baby Blessing

What a great day we had today! It was Olivia’s baby blessing, and we were lucky enough to share it with BOTH sets of Grandparents, as well as the Puzey family. Here are a few shots of the blessing dress, made by Nana (Nate’s mom), and the blanket, made by Grandma (my mom).

Soccer

We love Saturdays. One of our favorite activities is to go to the park, have a picnic and “play” soccer. There is a little field at our favorite park and we go and kick the ball around. I just had to show this picture (below) of Owen’s kicking mechanism. Notice how much his arms are involved. Too funny.

Olives

Owen likes to “play with his food” lately. By this I mean that he has found more fun ways to eat them. Olives, of course, are a favorite, but he also found that if you open up a green bean, there are more little green beans inside. This means it now takes him at least 1/2 hour to eat a side of green beans, but it is really funny to watch (when you’re not in a hurry...). He also found the “little carrot” inside his carrot sticks. Who knew eating dinner could be so interesting?

2 Kids

These two are way too much fun. People ask me all the time how Owen is doing with Olivia’s arrival, and I’m happy to say that he is doing really great with it. There are moments, and days, of course, but over all, it is just darling to see TWO of your own children together. Owen still likes to hold her, and is always checking on her (read: waking her up) while she naps. His hugs are a bit too much for her at times, and his enthusiasm and volume put her over her limit every now and again, but mostly it’s just really cute. I love having two kids. It is a joke everyday trying to get everyone clean, fed, dressed, happy, etc. (and then it only lasts for about 15 minutes), but I feel lucky to have these little munchkins.

Hiding Place

The other day while I was doing the laundry, Owen climbed into the dryer. I just had to run and get my camera to snap a shot because a wave of nostalgia  hit me. There is a picture just like this of my little sister, Heather. I bet she was about the same age too. So cute! After he established it as his little place, he went to the cupboard and grabbed a bag of chips and had a little snack inside. I only let him stay in there (after he grabbed the chips) for a minute (long enough to take a photo) because the last thing I need is a bunch of chips stuck to my clothes.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! This year we had a lot of fun hunting eggs, playing games, and having fun with the Puzeys. Here are the Easter family photos, taken by Doug. (Thanks Doug!) We hope it was a fun holiday for everyone.
PS-I have really been terrible lately at posting, partially because I have been terrible at remembering to take pictures! I have been doing a bit better and have some things to share in the next few days.
