Happy Valentine's Day
We tried to do a few festive things this month for Valentine’s Day. On Sunday we took out everyone’s journals and each wrote one thing we love about each other in each one. On Monday we made the valentines for Owen’s class (see above). FYI: Luke’s favorite color was green, so a special valentine was made for him. Today Olivia and I went to Owen’s Valentine’s Day party and brought a cute bingo game I found online and vday m&m’s as markers. We sorted through all the valentines after school, then the Hinckleys came over to decorate some sugar cookies. For dinner we made pizza and invited our neighbor, Miss Beth to join us. She brought cute little goodie bags for the kids. It was a fun day for our family and it’s nice to celebrate love, family and friendship. :)
Valentines Day need pics***
We had a great valentine's day this year. We wanted our neighbor,
Miss Beth to feel extra special and loved today so we decorated her door
with a heart attack. Each heart had written on it something we love
about her. We also made a cute sign that read: We love everything about
you! The kids and I had fun making this and putting it on her door!
the kids made valentine's for their friends. This year we took old crayons and made Crazy Crayons by melting them in the oven into mini muffin pans. They looked like cool planets, so Owen made his valentines by sticking one crayon to a piece of paper and writing "you're out of this world" and Olivia made heart shpaed ones and we put them on a card that said have a colorful valentine's day!

Painting
Painting is something we do quite regularly around here. The kids love to paint, especially after building something at Home Depot. Jonah has started painting too, which while very messy, is pretty cute too. He is, of course, not going to be left out of ANY activities due to his age. He is making quite certain of that. I love letting them do creative things. When they all sat down to paint today I just had to snap a few pictures of mes petits artistes. :)

Park
The weather has been unseasonably warm this winter. I’m not complaining at all. We have been outside playing more than usual. Today we had a few errands to run and stopped to play at the airport park for a while. It was a beautiful day. The kids are all growing up so fast. Owen is constantly forging ahead with his plans, inventions, and imagination. Olivia and I are working on preschool together and she’s doing great. Jonah is growing like a weed, still refusing to accept that he is in any way unable to keep up with his older siblings. He is brave and determined. I had to snap a few pictures to see how quickly they are changing. Sometimes right before my eyes.
