Washington Trip & Seattle

We packed up our bags to go and visit our family in Washington for a quick summer vacation. We drove the 16 hours in one day. Man is that a long drive! We just wanted to get there and start playing. The kids did really great in the car.

We got there late Saturday night and spent Sunday going to church and relaxing with family.
Here's a cute drawing Charlotte made at church that day.

Monday we were ready for adventure. We decided to head to downtown Seattle. We haven't taken the kids there very much because it's a bit hectic, but we thought they were old enough to appreciate some of the cool things to see down there.

We started out at Pike Place Market. There is just so much to see and take in there. We, of course, had to have our pictures taken in front of the sign. I love all the fresh flowers, and the fish market is always fun to see.

Here's Jonah pretending to be a Gargoyle.

We headed to the gum wall. It is equal parts fascinating and disgusting. We each added our bubble gum to the wall.

We made sure to visit and feed the pig. And ride on it.

We headed toward the sound to see some more beautiful views, and attempt a family photo.

From there we headed to see the Space Needle up close. That thing is just so cool!

We played at the park right between the Space Needle and the Experience Music Project.

So much to see and take in. We loved it.
