Squire Lake and the 4th of July

On the 4th of July we woke up and had breakfast out in Grandpa's garden. We ate raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and green peas.

In the afternoon, we headed to Squire Lake to hike with the kids. It's so beautiful hiking in Washington. The greenery is fantastic and the hikes are often shaded by a canopy of trees.

The fstivities that night were at the Knoblich's house. Their house is so beautiful and we all love visiting. Melissa always lets the kids ride with her on the lawn mower. Here's Jonah with a huge smile.

We had a BBQ and then set off fireworks. The kids had a blast. I mean look at those trees! So pretty! Owen really enjoyed lighting the fireworks with PK. And we are all bundled up because the temperature was wonderful. Washington summers are the best!
