Solar Eclipse

We were lucky enough to be able to experience a solar eclipse! It was fun that it happened before we started back to school, so we could experience it together. We ran to the library to get special glasses, but they were out. Bummer. But lucky for us, we ran into some friends from Atlanta and they gave us a couple of their pairs. We checked out the eclipse for a while at the library, but we could see it was going to be a couple hours for the whole thing to take place, so we headed home and played outside. I was amazed at how dark it was inside our house, and how cool the air felt during the eclipse. It was awesome. We were able to get a couple of shots with our camera, showing the eclipse. So cool!
One of our favorite parts was the shadows that were cast during the eclipse. Can you see the sun shape in the shadows? That was so cool looking!

These cute kids took advantage of the cool air and played outside during the eclipse. They created a fun Sponge Bob collaborative artwork. I just love creativity!
Later that afternoon, we headed to Nate's office for some game time with dad. He has the coolest game room in his building, so we went and played for a bit and then headed to dinner. It was a neat day.
