Jonah's birthday is on the 3rd so he is always the first lunch of each month. He chose Cafe Rio. Mostly because they have Tres Leches Cake and he loves it. This month he is excited about: Birthday Table at school, because this month is next birthday month so he gets to go! The Bike Rodeo at school next Friday morning. Sandy Police come and make a cute safety course for the kids to ride their bike through. That school is almost out! He's excited for field day (though he is nervous about messing up his dance moves) and for the dance festival. And most importantly for HIS BIRTHDAY. He wants a fidget spinner. We, of course, did talent fingers and wrote in his journal. His talents are: swimming, being friendly, snuggling, being smart/has a good brain, good memory, being funny, wearing his glasses, falling asleep, tenacity, being jonah and telling time with new new watch. Charlotte is the 22nd, but since she gets to go to all the other lunches she usually gets her talent fingers done multiple times each month. Cute girl!
Owen is next on the 14th of the month. For some reason He chose Arby's. I didn't get a photo from our lunch date in May, so here's one of us from his 5th grade Luau. I did, however get one of Charlotte. This month Owen is excited about getting his Young American and Granite Grizzly Awards. He's excited about making the State Parade at school. He's excited to teach his class about Ramadan and make cards with them, about Field Day and the Dance Festival next month, about going to the pool this summer, and about the kickball tournament at school. Life is good. Owen's talent fingers are: trying new things, reading, kickball, imagining, baby sitting, playing with siblings, tennis, being responsible, cooking and learning. And he's right! He's great at all of those.
Olivia is on the 24th. She chose Cafe Rio too. She is excited about Soccer. She got to see a Freshman comp team play and loved watching the older girls. She has a soccer clinic this Friday with one of those girls. She wants to try Track this summer to help get her more comfortable running. She is happy that her SAGE testing is going well and she feels like it's pretty easy. And she's excited about Field Day. She is going to bring extra clothes so she can do the dunk tank. Her million multiplication facts party is tomorrow for all 3rd graders. She's excited for our trip to Washington, because she is excited to see her cousin Claire. She's excited for the Anderson Family Reunion and playing with her cousins there. We are also going to bring our sno cone machine! And lastly she's excited for the Dance Festival, and also nervous. Olivia's talents are: soccer, trying hard, drawing with chalk (Charlotte offered that one), sleeping, piano, being a good friend, comforting others, kisses, eating, and math. She's one talented girl!
And Nate gets lunch dates every week because he is my #1 and because I need to go to Costco weekly and he's just the greatest. Here's a photo Charlotte took of him at lunch at Costco this month.
Also I worked a shift this month at the health clinic at Nate's office, so we got to have lunch together that day too.
