We had a great time celebrating our sweet Olivia this year. She is sweetness itself. We do our family birthdays in the mornings. A tradition we stole from Nate's family. The kids wake up and the house is all decorated for their birthday, their presents are wrapped and their favorite breakfast is being cooked up. Olivia's favorite breakfast is always Norwegian Pancakes. It has been her favorite since she was 2 years old. We gathered as a family that morning to eat breakfast, sing Happy Birthday to Olivia and watch her open her presents from us.
She opted to take donuts in for her class treat that day. I didn't get a photo of the donuts but here is our Birthday Girl.
That night for dinner we had pizza, her other favorite and then went out for dessert at Create.
That weekend we had a friend birthday party for her. She wanted to do a Crepe Bar and watch the BFG. So we invited her cute girl friends over and had crepes and all the toppings. The girls loved it! Then we watched part of the movie, until they were ready for cake and ice cream. Olivia picked out red cupcakes with little penguin rings on them. The girls all sang Happy Birthday and Olivia blew out her candles to make a wish. We did gift next. We had them do musical chairs to see which present Olivia would open. It was so funny to see them scramble for a spot as the music ended. Such great girls. Olivia had a lot of fun and it was a sweet way to celebrate our girl who is all heart!
